I never would have believed it possible for me to pack for a three week trip to Israel, in the winter, only taking two carry-on bags. But I did it, and it made my trip so much easier.
First – we were staying in an AirBnB that had a washing machine. This is very important! I couldn’t have done it without the ability to wash clothes.
Second, the bags I took were also key.
1. THE BIGGER CARRY ON by AWAY

I packed this suitcase with packing cubes. I kept all my clothes in the same colors palette (black, white, grey).
Here’s what I took:
2 pair of jeans; 1 black skinny ankle and 1 blue mid-rise straight.
2 pair leggings; 1 black, 1 grey
2 t-shirts; 1 black, 1 white
2 button-down shirts; 1 white, 1 black and white flannel
2 long sleeve t-shirts; 1 black, 1 white Uniqlo Heat tech
1 black, washable, stretch pull-over dress (wore on plane with leggings)
5 underwear, 5 socks, 2 bras, 1 night-shirt
Sweaters: 1 cardigan black, 1 crew neck white, 1 crew neck cotton grey
Shoes: Blundstones boots (I wore these on the plane) , Black suede booties (for dressing up), 1 sneakers.
Outer wear: Uniqlo light down jacket worn under a Columbia rain jacket with hood (wore on plane), Short leatherette jacket (for dressing up)
2. LO & SONGS CATALINA DELUXE TOTE

In this bag I put my toiletries, my laptop and plugs, my Kindle, snacks, a change of clothes for the plane, a grey athletic fleece and a pair of Tom’s slip ons. There was plenty of room left over for purchases at Duty Free.
In the end there was only one thing I packed that I didn’t wear several times: my bathing suit. That was wishful thinking. But I can actually say that I wore everything I brought several times and no one – no one- noticed that I was wearing the same sweater or the same jeans. I can’t tell you how liberating it was!
